Mathew Riley is a contemporary artist from East Sussex who uses simple lines and bold colours to highlight the necessity for human contact and helping hands.

Taking inspiration from his experiences working as a firefighter and carer, he creates work that has an underlying sense of hope and light.

Mat has created a comprehensive body of work using paint, pens and screen printing on both paper and wood, all of which have been sold into personal collections in the UK, Europe and America.
